On March 17, 2021, The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced a change in the date of tax filing for individuals for the 2020 tax year.
The tax year will automatically be extended from April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021. This continues to be a tough time for many people and we are glad to see the extension this year. But we encourage you not to wait until the last minute and plan for tax day now.
